Tomi ended up in the energy industry because he has always been interested in explaining the surrounding world utilizing the laws of nature. Physics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer come together in energy technology and the special characteristics of nuclear industry bring their own twists to them, making it a good fit for Tomi. At Platom, Tomi works at process modelling and safety analyses.
M. Sc. Energy Technology, Nuclear Engineering

Tomi has worked in the nuclear industry since 2009 starting in radiation monitoring at a nuclear power plant. In 2013 Tomi began his master’s thesis at Platom with the subject of the thesis being “CFD-simulation of uranium hexafluoride during phase change”. After graduating, Tomi began working as an expert in radioactive waste management but later moved over to process modelling and safety analyses using Apros software.
