Jussi has 15 years of experience working in the use of radiation in industry and research, from the perspective of the radiation user and the regulatory authority. He has a strong knowledge of various applications and regulation concerning the use of radiation, and experience in organizing trainings related to radiation safety and radiation protection.

Experience

During 2010–2013, Jussi worked on the production of radioactive pharmaceuticals and radiochemistry research. The task included e.g. operation of a particle accelerator and open source work in a radionuclide laboratory. In the years 2014–2020, Jussi worked as an inspector at the Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK). The tasks at STUK were related to the supervision of the use of radiation in industry and research (safety permits and inspections of the use of radiation) and e.g. for emergency operations and security arrangements for radiation sources.
