Description

Working in the Nuclear Industry has always been a priority for Joel. He ended up at Platom in the fall of 2016, after finishing his Thesis Work on the Lifecycle Management of Nuclear Power Plants. The Nuclear Industry is especially fascinating to Joel due to the concept of Nuclear Physics - a great amount of energy contained in such tiny particles - and of course the possibilities that this form of energy production offers in the fight against climate change.

Master of Science in Engineering - Energy Technology & Nuclear Engineering

Experience

During his career, Joel has assisted in the development of ageing management methods for nuclear power plants (since 2016), conducted engineering analyses via process modelling and participated in the design of UF6-sampling autoclaves (since 2017). Additionally, he has taken on different duties related to company development and sales (since 2018). Before graduating he also did radiation protection work in nuclear power plant outages.
