Platom to support Helen’s nuclear energy program
Platom Oy has signed an agreement with Helen Oy to implement technical support for the nuclear energy program. This is a significant recognition of Platom’s expertise and long-standing experience in the nuclear power sector.
The selection, carried out through Helen’s public tender process, brought together four partners for technical support (Platom, Rejlers, Elomatic, and Fortum). These agreements support Helen’s goal of building a small modular reactor as part of the company’s energy system in the 2030s.
“We are grateful to be part of this important project. This is a strong indication of the appreciation for our experts’ competence and our long-term work in the nuclear energy field,” says Platom’s CEO, Kirsi Hassinen.

Platom brings deep expertise and experience in nuclear technology, project management, and safety and licensing processes to Helen’s program.
“We see small modular reactors as part of Finland’s increasingly clean energy future. Collaboration with Helen gives us the opportunity to help build the solutions of tomorrow,” Hassinen continues.
Platom is a domestic and independent nuclear energy consultancy that has operated in the sector for over 25 years. The company’s customers include license holders, plant suppliers, and other industry players in Finland and abroad.
