Platom is now part of Sweco

Sweco has acquired the entire share capital of Platom Oy, and the company has been transferred to Sweco’s ownership. Sweco is Europe’s leading architecture and engineering consultancy, employing 23,000 experts.

Together, we can provide our clients with an even more compelling service offering that combines Platom’s expertise in nuclear and radiation safety with Sweco’s extensive and diverse engineering resources.

With the acquisition, Sweco’s services will be expanded, especially with expertise in nuclear technology, licensing, and radiation safety. For Platom, Sweco’s extensive expertise, international network and strong brand in Northern Europe open new opportunities in international nuclear plant projects.

Our daily work will continue as before, and contact persons and experts in the projects will remain unchanged. According to current estimates, the consolidation into Sweco will take place at the end of 2026, when Platom’s experts will become part of Sweco’s Industry and Energy Division.
