Platom improved its business performance in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
In the fiscal year ending in late June 2025, Platom succeeded in continuing business growth and improving profitability. The company’s revenue increased by 15% to €4.3 million, and its net profit was €223,000 (5.2% of revenue).
Platom is stronger year by year
The company’s principal owner and Chair of the Board, Miika Puukko, commented on the financial statements:
“Three years ago, we began implementing a new strategy aimed at improving profitability. The right direction became visible immediately, and now the figures for the completed fiscal year continue the growth trend. Determined execution of the strategy is paying off.”
“The company’s board and operational management have worked well together to make this possible. The CEO change made two years ago has proven to be the right decision and has been key to enabling success. I want to thank Kirsi for the great work so far and, of course, hope that the same direction continues.”
Challenges are solved together
Although results are developing favorably, the journey has not been all smooth sailing. There is still room for improvement. CEO Kirsi Hassinen commented:
“In recent years, Platom has carried out long-term and disciplined work to improve profitability. It starts with everyday tasks and decisions. In difficult decisions, we do a lot of joint reflection, which helps everyone commit to implementing the decision.”
“It’s about careful and diligent work close to our customers—listening to our own experts. Thanks go to our customers and every Platom employee for making this possible.”
Platom promotes the safe use of nuclear power
Platom’s customers include all players in the nuclear power sector. The core of the company’s operations is to promote the safe and cost-effective use of nuclear power, which in turn supports the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. In recent years, there have been more changes than usual in the nuclear power industry, and the market is seen as growing.
“We have gained many new customers over the past couple of years. It’s great to see that there is interest in our expertise internationally as well. We are living in exciting times in the nuclear power sector, as new plant projects seem to be starting up after a long break. In addition to new customers, we are grateful that we have more and more long-term partners and clients who trust us and our experts,” CEO Hassinen commented.
