Tero has worked as an expert in the nuclear industry since 1999. Tero is an engineer in environmental technology, a field he joined for ideological reasons. According to Tero, a safe nuclear power plant and well-organized radioactive waste management is environmental protection at its finest. Indeed, all the jobs that Tero has worked have had something to with these subjects.
Now Tero holds demanding project management and expert roles at Platom. He concentrates on safety evaluations of nuclear power plants and the technical side of radioactive waste management. Tero works with a team of highly qualified experts. The team can perform extremely demanding tasks and help clients especially with evaluation of safety and conformity of design of a nuclear power plant.

Experience

Tero has over 20 years of experience of projects and expert roles in the nuclear industry. Clients include all major Finnish nuclear companies and Swedish nuclear power plants. His career also includes a five-year period at the deconstruction site of Ignalina nuclear power plant and consulting for Russian nuclear power plants. Tero has been involved in the Hanhikivi 1 -project since 2008 in different roles.
