Hanna has over 15 years of experience on the use of radiation from the industry and research point of view, and also from the regulator's side. She also has experience on emergency preparedness activities, nuclear materials and naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). At Platom, Hanna works as a qualified radiation safety expert, as well as with international training programs related to nuclear and radiation safety.

Qualified Radiation Safety Expert - Industry and Research
Hanna began working with radiation in 2004. Her duties included the production of radioactive medicinal isotopes, quality control, particle accelerator operation and general radiation safety. During 2010-2015 she worked as a doctoral researcher in projects regarding natural radioactive materials and from 2016 as an inspector at the Finnish Nuclear and Radiation Safety Authority. During her career, she has participated in several domestic and international co-operation projects.
